Certified Medication Aide - CMA 2

About the role

We are seeking CMAII/CNAs to join our team. This full-time position offers variety, combining CMAII and CNA duties with a starting wage of $21.50 per hour. Shifts will vary between medication administration and personal care responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer the right medication to the right person at the right time, dose, and route, responding promptly to medication changes.
• Store medications correctly, clean and secure med carts or storage systems, and follow location policies for missed, dropped, or spit-out medications and errors.
• Follow documentation procedures, including narcotics sign-out, and observe and document resident responses to medications.
• Provide resident-centered personal care: bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and psychosocial support.
• Assist residents with meals, snacks, hydration, and supplements, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, walking, and range-of-motion exercises using proper techniques and equipment.
• Document resident cares and behaviors according to Society policy, procedure, and regulations.

Requirements

• Completion and certification in an accredited nursing assistant training program and state-approved medication aide course (high school diploma or GED may be required per state regulations).
• Ability to communicate, comprehend, and measure quantities accurately.
• Knowledge of therapeutic effects and side effects of administered medications.
