Certified Medical Assistant (Part-time)

About the role

The Clinical Health Advocate (Certified Medical Assistant) is an integral part of our care team, owning patient relationships and driving a collaborative care plan that impacts patients' lives meaningfully. We're seeking a teammate who is a natural people person, passionate about helping others, and skilled at tackling tough problems.

This is a part-time (up to 24 hours/week) hybrid role. You'll spend time in the field, traveling to see patients in Aroostook County or working from an office in Presque Isle, with some remote work options. This is a 50% clinical and 50% administrative role with general work hours from 8am-5pm ET.

• Clinical: Obtain and document vital signs, perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection, administer immunizations, assist with minor procedures, educate patients, and ensure proper sterilization of medical equipment.
• Administrative: Manage patient charts, run-the-list with the care team, maintain exam room and office cleanliness, coordinate insurance submissions, request and file medical records, communicate with patients, and participate in projects.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant
• Experience with phlebotomy is mandatory
• Experience with injections (vaccines) is preferred
• Reliable access to personal transportation
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• A "hospitality mindset" and track record of creating memorable experiences
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
