Key Responsibilities

  • Check vital signs.
  • Review medical history.
  • Address chief complaints.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
  • Perform EKGs, wound care, and other diagnostic tests.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
  • Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) is strongly preferred.
  • One year of experience in a medical office or clinic is a plus.
  • CPR / AED certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems is preferred.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Caregiving and professional demeanor.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

Work Environment

  • Traveling to patients located in their homes or medical facilities.
  • May require standing for extended periods and some lifting.
  • May involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other health hazards.

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay rate: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour with mileage reimbursement.
