Certified Medical Assistant (CMA|RMA) w/X-Ray required - Summit Express Clinics

About the role

Summit Express Clinics is seeking an experienced Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) with X-Ray certification to join our team. This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
• Record vital signs of patients, including pulse, blood pressure, height, and weight.
• Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, and assist physicians with procedures.
• Administer medications and conduct patient education.
• Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, calling in prescriptions, and contacting patients regarding test results.
• Perform clerical duties to support physicians, including pulling and preparing patient records and scheduling appointments.
• Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas daily.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA).
• Follow site-specific protocols and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Participate in site-level Quality Improvement Activities and contribute to performance evaluations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors, site managers, physicians, or administrative staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational or college credits preferred.
• At least six months of experience in a similar clinical setting preferred.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification or LPN TN license required.
• State of TN X-Ray license required.
