About the Role
Summit Family Medicine Greeneville is seeking an experienced Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or EMT with phlebotomy experience to assist with clinical tasks as directed by the physician(s) or mid-level provider in patient care. This is a full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
- Record vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, height, and weight.
- Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, and assist physicians with procedures.
- Administer medications and conduct patient education.
- Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, calling in prescriptions, and contacting patients regarding test results.
- Perform clerical duties to support physicians, such as pulling and preparing patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas daily.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA).
- Follow site-specific protocols and maintain professionalism with coworkers, management, and the public.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational or college credits preferred.
- At least six months of experience in a similar clinical setting preferred.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification required.
- Phlebotomy experience required.
