Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) - In School Health

About the role

This role supports the school health office under the supervision of the registered nurse, managing daily clinical duties and ensuring student health needs are met efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Providing routine health services such as monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and reporting illnesses or injuries.
• Supporting management of chronic conditions by following individual health plans and emergency protocols.
• Maintaining accurate immunization and health records to ensure compliance.
• Entering and updating student health information in electronic systems.
• Participating in health screenings, staff trainings, and emergency drills.
• Delivering first aid and ensuring the health office remains clean and safe.
• Collaborating with the nurse to develop health and emergency plans and prevent disease spread.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (various recognized certifications).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong patient care skills, knowledge of safety policies, and ability to manage health records and communicate effectively.
• Ability to assist with health plans, emergency response, and promote a positive, safe environment for students and staff.
