Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) - Family Practice

The Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant provides administrative support and patient care duties within a medical practice to assist healthcare staff and ensure smooth office operations. Key Responsibilities Include Rooming patients: collecting medical histories, chief complaints, and medication reconciliation.Handling telephone communications with patients, families, pharmacies, and healthcare facilities.Performing administrative tasks such as patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, benefit verification, and referral coordination.Executing clinical procedures like urine catheterizations, suturing, cast applications/removals, TB testing, and diagnostic testing.Providing patient instructions, retrieving educational materials, and administering medications, immunizations, PPD tests, and nebulizer treatments.Measuring vital signs and assisting with office procedures including wound care and lesion removal.Completing medication reconciliation and assisting with forms related to physical and DME needs. Qualifications And Skills Include Certifications such as CCMA, RMA, CMA, or equivalent, and BLS certification within 30 days.High school diploma or GED required.Strong communication, clinical, and administrative skills, with the ability to handle diverse patient interactions and procedures. This role emphasizes patient care support, clinical procedures, administrative tasks, and adherence to certification requirements to support effective healthcare delivery.
