About Us
Starr Regional Medical Center's Athens campus provides inpatient and outpatient services through its 118-bed acute care facility, outpatient rehabilitation services, and physician practices.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the physician or nurse with patient assessments, treatments, and clinical procedures
- Performing basic diagnostic and specimen collection
- Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition
- Accurately documenting patient care
- Ensuring exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies are clean, stocked, and function appropriately
- Supporting administrative functions such as scheduling, reception, registration, filing, and data entry as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
- Associate's degree preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- CMA, RMA, or CCMA through AAMA or NHA required
