Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, prepare patients, collect vital signs, assist with exams and procedures, perform EKGs, wound dressings, phlebotomy, and medication administration (non-IV).
- Support clinical documentation, patient scheduling, referrals, and billing inquiries.
- Ensure a safe, clean environment following infection control protocols.
- Facilitate patient communication, reinforce education, and assist with inventory and equipment maintenance.
- Participate in quality improvement and support new staff orientation.
- Obtain and document patient visit information, assist with examinations, perform laboratory procedures, support clinical and administrative tasks, and ensure timely patient flow.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic medical records and support a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CMA or RMA certification from recognized governing bodies (NHA, AMT, AAMA, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks and support patient needs efficiently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
