Job Description
This role will work alongside the RN/LPN in providing for the medical needs of our residents. This includes medication passing, attending physician appointments, completing treatments, documenting and/or other assigned tasks. The Medical Assistant may also act as a phlebotomist when trained appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Medication Passing
- Staff Training
- Manage Resident medical appointments
- Schedule/Attend external appointments
- Ensure Vitals are documented/available to Treatment Team
- Documentation management
- E.H.R. Fax Queue Management
- Weekly Cart Count
- Cooky/Removal services
- Inventory and managing all medical supplies
- Lab draw, as directed
- Administer injections, as directed
- Complete/manage TB tests, as directed
Education and Qualifications
- Required: Certification – Medical Assistant
- Preferred Skills: Phlebotomy
