About the role
This position is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a medical provider in a clinic setting. Under the direction of the physician, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) carries out duties delegated by mid-level providers and physicians that do not exceed their scope of practice or state certification.
This role may require providing services to patients across all age populations, from pediatric to geriatric, with an understanding of the functional and developmental needs of each group. The position requires active participation in fulfilling the mission of Blessing Health System, demonstrating behavior consistent with core values, and supporting strategic goals, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
Adherence to ICARE standards, the Code of Conduct, and all organizational policies is required.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program
- Current Certified Medical Assistant Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
Preferred: Previous clinic experience.
