Certified Medical Assistant - Cardiology Clinic

Responsibilities

• Aid physicians during patient exams and procedures.
• Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments within the scope of licensure.
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care.
• Cook up referrals and patient care follow-ups.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

Requirements

• Valid and current licensure/certification in the state of Iowa as one of the following: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Iowa Board of Nursing, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA).
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
