Responsibilities
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff to implement established policies and procedures for quality patient care.
- Intervene with proper techniques and safety precautions, demonstrating commitment to comprehensive healthcare support.
- Gather patient history, verify medications, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
- Adhere to designated work schedules, responding effectively to codes or patient crises as per site policies, and assist healthcare practitioners as assigned.
- Prioritize infection control techniques and principles, contributing to the emotional and physical comfort and safety of patients.
- Maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment, attending mandatory staff meetings/training to uphold a high standard of healthcare delivery and professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State if certification is required by the State or the facility. Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.
