About the Role
The CERTIFIED Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The role involves providing a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees, delivering patient care tasks, and handling administrative duties. The position requires floating when needed, with mileage reimbursement offered. Certification is required at hire.

Responsibilities
- Perform patient care tasks and procedures as delegated by healthcare providers.
- Provide administrative and clerical support, including managing patient records and scheduling.
- Assess situations objectively, consider alternatives, and assist in developing action plans.
- Follow department and system policies, procedures, and practices.
- Utilize resources that are safe, effective, ethical, and fiscally responsible.
- Demonstrate effective inter-departmental interactions and adherence to safety principles.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency (required).
- One of the following certifications on the first day of employment:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- Certified EMT (EMT-B)
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Phlebotomy experience (highly preferred).
