Certified Medical Assistant
Memorial Sleep Associates – Full Time, Mon-Thur 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
About the role
As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination. Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
- Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
- Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
- Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
- May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or High School GED.
- May require specialized training, such as Non-Certified Radiologic Technician.
- Certified Medical Assistant (one of the following upon hire):
- AAMA
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- NHA
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT)
- National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP)
- Registered Medical Assistant (AMT)
- Registered Medical Assistant
- Cert Med Asst - MMCI
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 days of hire.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical knowledge and technological fluency.
- Genuine compassion for patient well-being.
- Adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.
- Preferred:
- Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course or exam.
- Two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Electronic health record experience.

$18.96 - $26.78 per hour

- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
