Certified Medical Assistant
Job Summary
Work as a member of a strong team to provide care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Administers medications, changes dressings and provides wound care as well as liaison between providers and patients. Documents care delivery, patient condition, reaction and progress. Provides patient education, especially in regard to pharmaceuticals and support the business goals of the practice.
Qualifications
Required Education: Graduate/Certification from one of the following: AAMA - American Association of Medical Assistants – Certified Medical Assistant (CMA credential) AMT- American Medical Technologists- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA credential) ARMA- American Registry of Medical Assistants-(ARMA credential) NCCT- National Center for Competency Testing- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA credential) AMCA- American Medical Certification Association- Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC credential) NHA- National Healthcareer Association- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA credential)
Preferred Education: None
Required License: Must have and maintain a current certification. BLS Certification required within 90 days of employment.
