Certified Medical Assistant

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join the team in our Valrico Bloomingdale, FL location. We are looking for a positive, energetic, and well-organized team member who can multi-task and think creatively while supporting our top initiative of ensuring excellent patient care and customer service.

Schedule

Monday - Friday: 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch patient experience for every patient
• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a Physician, ARNP, or PA
• Collect patient vitals and medical histories
• Administer diagnostic testing and perform basic medical procedures
• Enter data in electronic health records (EHR)
• Perform any other tasks required to ensure the best patient care

Training

Millennium provides ample training, including:

• Classroom and hands-on training
• Introduction to Electronic Health Records systems
• Referral processes and Patient Portal training

Requirements

• Completed a Medical Assisting Program or Certification/Registration
• CPR/BLS certification (must be kept current)
• Ability to type at least 40 WPM

Skills

• Strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems (Athena knowledge preferred but not required)
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay

Compensation range: $19.00 to $28.50 per hour. The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
