Job Summary

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a crucial role in our care team, enhancing patient well-being through direct support and efficient coordination. Your responsibilities include comprehensive screenings, assisting with clinical procedures, providing health education, and managing administrative tasks using technology to streamline care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel comfortable, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for healthcare providers.
• Obtain and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problems.
• May collect urine drug specimens, draw and collect blood samples, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via various routes including oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and nasal administration.
• Perform routine tests such as EKGs.

Job Requirements

• Required: High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: 1-3 years of medical assistant experience.
• Required: Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA/NHA/NCCT/NAHP/AMT/RMCA/MMCI), Basic Life Support (CPR).
