About the Role

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination. You will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
  • Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
  • Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
  • May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
  • May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKGs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One of the following certifications:
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
    • Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)
    • Certified Medical Assistant (NHA)
    • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT)
    • National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP)
    • Registered Medical Assistant (AMT)
    • Cert Med Asst - MMCI
  • AHA BLS within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant experience.

Pay

$22.51 - $31.79 per hour (Certified MA). Non-Certified MA pay range: $19.25 - $26.78.
