Certified Medical Assistant

About the Role

Busy Integrative Medicine office in Annapolis seeks a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant with strong IV and phlebotomy skills, good communication, organizational abilities, and a passion for helping people. The ideal candidate will assist medical providers, supervise others, and be a leader in the office.

Responsibilities

• Administering IVs and Nutrition booster shot injections
• Working in the lab: blood draws, processing samples, logging data
• Managing patient flow in the treatment area
• Applying therapies per Doctor's instructions and orders (exercise, traction, and home instruction)
• Taking and recording patient vitals: temperature and blood pressure
• Assisting in x-ray procedures: developing and copying
• Checking, maintaining, ordering, and restocking inventory of products and office supplies
• Assisting patients in the Weight Loss Program with exercise form and technique
• Maintaining therapy area and treatment rooms
• Assisting FNP and/or PA
• Gathering patient history
• Completing the Chiropractic Assistant Program (paid by the company) and becoming licensed as a Chiropractic Assistant

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
• BLS Certification (Preferred)

Skills

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Basic IV: 2 years (Preferred)
