Responsibilities
- Measure vital signs, interview patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist providers or RNs with clinical treatments and patient care.
- Document provider-patient encounters, list diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions, and transcribe lab, radiology, and medication orders.
- Perform core office duties including answering phones, maintaining patient records, filing, and managing daily administrative tasks.
- Maintain a clean, orderly clinical environment and manage inventory by ordering and stocking necessary medical supplies.
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
- Medical Assistant certification obtained prior to hire.
- High School diploma or equivalency, or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
