About the Role
As a Medication Technician at our community, you will provide warm and engaging personal care services, assistance, support, and companionship to residents. You will engage and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor changes in residents' needs to update their personal Resident Care Plan, and encourage participation in community programs and activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, assistance, support, and companionship to residents.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Monitor and report changes in residents' day and personal care needs to update their Resident Care Plan.
- Encourage resident participation in community programs and activities.
- Administer medications in accordance with state regulations.
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical condition, cognition, and emotional status to a supervisor.
- Adhere to HIPAA policies and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Medication Aide (RMA) or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.
- Successful completion of Medication Technician training and periodic competency testing.
- Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in Personal Care, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to work weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform medication administration in accordance with state regulations.
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA policies.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and perform intermittent physical activity, including lifting and supporting residents.
- Must use proper body mechanics.

Pay
Salary Range: $22.00 - $22.50 hourly.
Schedule
