Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) - PRN

About the role

Lighthouse Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Compassionate Hospice Aide (CHHA) to provide patient care in and around the Cherry Hill Area. Coverage includes Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties.

Schedule

15-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care following the plan of care to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
• Attend promptly to patient and family/caregiver requests, offering compassionate support.
• Assist with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
• Support families by sharing knowledge and expertise in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Valid Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) license OR Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in hospice or skilled nursing facility preferred; hospice experience a plus.
• Current CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Pay

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour. The pay range is a general guideline; final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and specific role responsibilities.
