Right at Home, In‑Home Care & Assistance is seeking a Skilled Certified Home Health Aide or Companion Caregiver to provide compassionate, meaningful care to seniors in Middlesex, Mercer, and Northern Monmouth Counties. The role helps seniors stay at home and age in place by supporting daily activities and following medical protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- New Jersey license as a Certified Home Health Aide (required)
- 2‑step PPD
- Physical exam within the last 12 months
- MMR immunizations up to date
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Record and report patient data as medically necessary
- Assist with daily functions such as dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene
- Help plan and coordinate doctor’s appointments and other meetings
- Organize transportation for patients as needed
- Perform light housekeeping (dusting, mopping, laundry, etc.)
- Prepare and cook meals
- Grocery shopping
- Report patient health status to nurses
- Teach patients self‑care skills
- Available for facility work, hourly shifts, or live‑in assignments
Compensation
- Salary: $18–$20 per hour (depending on experience and case)
- Full‑time, part‑time, and per‑diem shifts
- Weekend and overnight shifts available
