About the role
Right at Home, In‑Home Care & Assistance is seeking a Skilled Certified Home Health Aide or Companion Caregiver to provide compassionate, meaningful care to seniors in Middlesex, Mercer and Northern Monmouth Counties, helping them stay at home and age in place.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily functions such as dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene.
- Record and report health data as medically necessary.
- Help plan and coordinate doctor’s appointments and other meetings, including organizing transportation.
- Perform facility work on an hourly or live‑in basis.
- Light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, mopping, and laundry.
- Prepare and cook meals and handle grocery shopping.
- Report patients’ health status to nurses.
- Teach patients self‑care skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- New Jersey license as a Certified Home Health Aide (required).
- 2‑step PPD physical within the last 12 months.
- MMR immunization.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Reliable transportation.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $18–$20 per hour (depending on experience and case).
