Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
About the role
Right at Home, In-Home Care & Assistance, is seeking to hire a Skilled Certified Home Health Aide or Companion Caregiver to make a difference by providing compassionate and meaningful care in the areas of Middlesex, Mercer and Northern Monmouth Counties. Help seniors stay at home and age in place by providing support with their daily activities.
Certified Home Health Aides must be detail-oriented and be able to carefully follow protocols and rules regarding the patient’s care. Aides must adhere to instructions from doctors and nurses, such as knowing how to care for a minor medical issue or letting them know about changes in the patient’s health. They should be trustworthy and dependable so the patient and their family feel comfortable relying on them.
Responsibilities
- Record and report patient data as medically necessary.
- Assist patients with daily functions such as dressing or taking a bath.
- Help with planning for doctor's appointments, other meetings and may organize transportation.
- Perform facility work, either hourly or live‑in.
- Light housekeeping (dusting, mopping, laundry, etc.).
- Prep and cook meals.
- Grocery shopping.
- Report to nurses about patients’ health status.
- Teach patients self‑care skills.
Requirements
- NJ Licensed as Certified Home Health Aide (must).
