Certified Engineer Tech II - Full Time

Employee may be assigned to either Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, CA or Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, CA, and may be required to float between the two facilities based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair hospital equipment and related systems
• Perform calculations for equipment installation and repair
• Utilize computers, energy management systems, and other relevant technologies

Requirements

Essential Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with hospital or related equipment
• Numerical ability for installation and repair calculations
• Proficiency in using computers, energy management, and other systems

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years working in a hospital engineering department

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent trade/vocational experience

Licensure & Certifications

• Current California driver’s license
• At least one of the following certifications or licenses:
  • HVAC license
  • Refrigerant recovery certification
  • Steam boiler license
  • Medical gases certification
  • California MECH certification by CSHE (California Society for Healthcare Engineering)
  • Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager by AHA (American Hospital Association)
  • Any recognized statewide or nationwide certification for a Healthcare Engineer
