About the role

The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony is seeking a Part Time Certified Educator to join the RSIC After School Program. This position offers the unique opportunity to engage with students in a culturally rich environment, grounded in traditional values and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and organize instructional materials tailored for students
• Ensure an engaging and supportive learning environment
• Provide personalized tutoring and homework assistance
• Foster a culture of academic integrity and safety
• Assess student progress monthly and deliver feedback to parents
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and assessments

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience as a teacher or educator within a school district
• Demonstrated commitment to assisting school-aged children
• Strong communication skills
• Eagerness to teach and inspire
• Pass a security background check
• Pass PL 101-630 Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Act investigation including driving record, criminal background, and employment and education verification

• Must be a member of the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony or a member of another federally recognized tribe

$24.37 - $29.97 per hour, depending on experience
