Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Affords clients assistance in identifying and progressing towards their chosen goals.
  • Advocates for clients across all areas of treatment and assists them in accessing and utilizing available services.
  • Provides immediate intervention during crises to prevent escalation and notifies necessary parties for resolution.
  • Conducts interviews, reviews records, and engages in consultations with other professionals.
  • Develops and implements treatment and rehabilitation plans for clients, including facilitating support groups.
  • Counsels clients individually and in group settings to aid in overcoming alcohol and drug dependency.
  • Counsels family members to help them manage and provide support for the client.
  • Refers clients to additional support services as required, such as medical evaluations, social services, and employment assistance.
  • Maintains regular monitoring of the client's condition to assess the effectiveness of therapy and adjusts treatment plans accordingly.
  • Prepares and updates reports and case histories.
  • Designs and conducts programs aimed at preventing alcohol and drug abuse.
  • Safely transports clients and other passengers to and from appointments and program-related activities using one's personal vehicle.
  • Supports and trains other staff members as needed.
  • Complies with and upholds the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs.
  • Attends staff meetings unless approved for non-attendance by the Team Leader or Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications And Certifications & Licenses

  • Possession of a CADAC license.
  • Variety of experience working with dually diagnosed adults (those with both substance abuse and psychiatric disabilities).
  • Valid California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance/registration if driving.
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspections if older than five years, excluding all forms of two-wheeled transport like bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
