Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Affords clients assistance in identifying and advancing towards their chosen goals.
  • Advocates for clients across all areas of treatment and assists them in securing and utilizing available services.
  • Provides immediate intervention during crises, both to halt the crisis and to alert necessary parties for resolution.
  • Conducts interviews, reviews records, and consults with other professionals to develop treatment plans.
  • Counsels clients individually and in group settings to help them overcome alcohol and drug dependency.
  • Counsels family members to support them in dealing with and providing care for the client.
  • Refers clients to additional support services as needed, such as medical evaluations, social services, and employment assistance.
  • Maintains regular monitoring of the client's condition to assess the effectiveness of therapy and adjusts treatment as necessary.
  • Prepares and updates reports and case histories.
  • Develops and implements programs aimed at preventing alcohol and drug abuse.
  • Safely transports clients and other passengers to and from appointments and activities, and other program-related tasks using one's own vehicle.
  • Supports and trains other staff members as needed.
  • Complies with and upholds the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs.
  • Attends staff meetings unless approved for non-attendance by the Team Leader or Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications And Certifications & Licenses

  • Possession of a CADAC license.
  • Variety of experience working with dually diagnosed adults (substance abuse and psychiatric disability).
  • Valid California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance/registration if driving.
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspections if more than five years old, excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport, inclusive of bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Compensation

$24.00 - $25.98 hourly.
