Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals and snacks for patients, adhering to dietary restrictions and specifications
• Manage food inventory, ordering and receiving supplies as needed
• Develop and implement menus that meet patient needs and preferences
• Conduct food safety and sanitation inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
• Supervise and train dietary staff, including interns and students
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes

Requirements

• Must be certified as a Dietary Manager (CDM) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in nutrition or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
