About the role

The Certified Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Dialysis Clinic, Inc. supports the nonprofit mission to provide personalized care for patients with end-stage renal disease. The position involves active participation in infection control, risk management, and patient education, along with responsibilities such as guiding new patients through a 120-day education plan, obtaining and recording vital signs, and monitoring patients during dialysis.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities
  • Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
  • Set up and break down dialysis blood systems for treatment
  • Insert and remove patient access needles
  • Maintain professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights
  • Maintain and track inventory
  • Perform laboratory work

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to collaborate with care teams
  • Ability to problem solve
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred, but not required
  • CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT, or phlebotomy skills desired
  • DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom sessions and one-on-one skills training
  • Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available

Pay

Compensation ranges from $22-$28 per hour, depending on healthcare experience.

Schedule

Full-time, three 13.3-hour shifts starting at 4am; Sundays off; no overnight shifts.
