Essential Functions
- Perform patient triage (weight, blood pressure, temperature readings, update medication list, document chief complaint)
- Provide electronic patient prescription services, communicate with pharmacies, verify medical prescriptions
- Be knowledgeable of Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Perform phlebotomy and EKGs
- Answer telephones, screen calls, retrieve voicemails, return patient calls
- Pre-certify procedures, call patients for lab results, maintain daily logs, answer appointment questions, schedule procedures, surgeries, and tests, coordinate and reschedule appointments
- Assist other staff members as needed
- Communicate with patients about their information and procedure preparations
- Knowledge of nursing principles, protocols, medication names, and prescribing
- Knowledge of infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality (HIPAA standards)
- Knowledge of medical chart reporting and records
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Attend meetings as required

Mental/Physical Requirements
- Daily standing, walking, squatting, bending
- May require lifting up to 50 pounds
- Stress can be triggered by workload and difficult patterns
Qualifications
- Orthopedic surgeon office experience preferred
- High School Diploma
- Completion of accredited LPN program
- Current CPR Certification
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification
- State LPN licensure
