Certified Behavior Technician I/II - Biobehavioral Outpatient Program

About the role

Provides behavior intervention and skill development curricula to individuals and families/caregivers of individuals with developmental, intellectual, emotional, and behavioral challenges in a behavior analytic program. Interventions and curricula may be provided in individual or small group settings under the supervision of a Qualified Healthcare Professional. (Includes, but is not limited to, Behavioral Analyst (I and/or II), Psychologist, Clinical Supervisor, and/or Clinical Director.)

Responsibilities

  • Collect data on programs and skills
  • Provide oral and written updates on patient progress
  • Aid in discharge planning activities
  • Work in collaboration with program leadership on quality improvement, program development and other special projects as appropriate
  • Provide assistance with training other team members
  • Conduct behavioral assessments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, special education, psychology, communication disorders, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 1 year of experience providing direct treatment services to children and families/caregivers

Qualifications

  • WA State Certified Behavior Technician Credential (CBT)
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and/or Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA) will be accepted in lieu of CBT
  • Safety Care Cert (internal training) required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter

Preferred

  • Bilingual skills
  • Experience working with caregivers and families
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Experience navigating multiple hospital systems
  • Credential as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB)
  • 1 year experience working with neurodiverse individuals

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of behavior analysis principles and techniques
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis
