Certified Athletic Trainer - Grand View University

About the role

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes. This position will support Grandview University in Des Moines, IA.

Responsibilities

• Service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes.
• Support Grandview University with athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury.
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record changes.
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification.
• CPR certification.
• Applicable state license where required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred.

Skills

• Therapeutic taping and wrapping.
• Minor wound care.
• Basic life support skills.

Pay

$47,000/year, commensurate based on years of experience.

Schedule

Weekdays/Weekends, typical collegiate ATC hours.
