About the role
Athletic trainers provide emergency care, rehabilitation, and prevention services to athletes and other individuals participating in physical activity.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate care to injured athletes
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Assist in the development of sports medicine policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program
- Current certification as an Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA)
- Experience working with athletes at the collegiate level
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Skills
- Knowledge of athletic training principles and techniques
- Proficient in using medical equipment and technology
- Skilled in patient assessment and treatment
