About the role

At BAYADA, we seek individuals passionate about caregiving who wish to support adults in maintaining their independence at home. This position involves providing personal care, household support, and companion care services to help clients stay safe and independent.

Responsibilities

• Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you will provide personal care, household support, and companion care services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.
• Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Ranging of motion/exercises
• Assisting with ambulation (transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
• Meditation reminders
• Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration

Requirements

• At least one year of work experience.
• Successfully completed a recognized CNA training course and be certified to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

• A passion for caregiving, providing private home care, and a desire to help others.
• A commitment to being present and providing quality care.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to travel to clients' homes as assigned.
