About the role
The Certification Manager will execute and lead magniX’s certification, airworthiness, process assurance, and safety engineering activities. This role is responsible for the performance management and development of the individuals within the department. As a manager, this role will partner with other department leaders on various matters and contribute to developing the Company’s strategic goals and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support magniX in acquiring Type Certification, Validation, and Continued Operational Safety for magniX products.
- Led the development, interpretation, and understanding of the means and methods of compliance for novel products.
- Oversee the preparation of certification documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Develop and execute strategy for engagement with industry groups to ensure proper alignment to magniX standards efforts.
- Serve as chair of the Safety of Flight Board for powertrain products.
- Define Certification requirements and work closely with internal departments to implement compliance plans.
- Take a leading role in customer and regulatory authority interactions in support of magniX certification efforts and continued airworthiness.
- Develop and communicate a comprehensive view of the certification and industry progress and landscape, and architect magniX’s strategic response.
- Lead initiatives to streamline certification and airworthiness processes and improve efficiency.
- Lead the Certification and Airworthiness team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- 7+ years’ experience in aerospace certification processes and procedures including obtaining FAA design approvals (TC/STC/TSO etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Proven track record of successful collaboration with regulatory agencies.
