Responsibilities

• Affixes and removes adaptive equipment to assist patients in performing daily living activities.
• Assists patients with exercises and activities designed to improve physical function.
• Documents patient progress and communicates with other healthcare providers as needed.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Assists in the performance improvement activities within the department.
• Participates in CQI activities.
• Monitors budget guidelines and ensures patient charges are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
• Participates in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs.

Qualifications

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
