Cert. Occ. Therapy Assistant - Rehab Main Campus (Full Time) - 7091

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to Occupational Therapists with patient related activities as directed and per the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care.
• Assists with performance improvement activities within the department.
• Participates in CQI activities.
• Assists with monitoring budget guidelines.
• Ensures accuracy and timely completion of patient charges.
• Participates in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs.

Qualifications

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Completion of a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Experience working in a rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
