About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced part-time faculty member to serve as a Faculty/Professional Development Facilitator. The successful candidate will facilitate professional development programs for a diverse range of audiences, including faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders. This role involves fostering a culture of continuous improvement and lifelong learning, enhancing professional practices, and supporting the growth and development of all participants.

The PD Unit Reviewer will provide feedback to unit participants and submit final completion statuses for all participants according to UNH-CPSO PD Unit Policies and Procedures. The Reviewer will work with the CPSO admin team to maintain and update relevant unit content regarding the specific PD Track.

Responsibilities

• Program Facilitation
  • Deliver professional development workshops, seminars, and training sessions for various audiences, including faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional methods and technologies to engage participants and enhance learning experiences.
  • Schedule and host live Zoom sessions (kick-off, mid-course, and end-course) as needed.
• Participant Support and Feedback
  • Review participant assignment submissions and provide feedback and assessment.
  • Spend up to one hour per participant assisting them and reviewing assessments.
  • Coordinate with select college staff to document participants who complete assessments at an appropriate level and should be issued a completion badge.
  • Submit final completion status reports at the end of each term.
• Facilitation and Leadership
  • Facilitate discussions and activities that promote reflective practice, peer learning, and collaborative problem-solving among participants.
  • Lead learning communities and special interest groups focused on specific areas of professional practice.
  • Serve as a coach in specific sessions, such as Faculty Development Micro-Credentials.
  • Act as a peer mentor for new faculty onboarding or ongoing support for continuing faculty.

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in relevant academic discipline.
• Experience in professional development, adult education, or a related area.

Skills

• Strong understanding of instructional design principles and best practices in teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of participants.
• Proficiency with educational technologies and online learning platforms.

Pay

Pay Range: $40-50 per hour
