Job Summary

As an ophthalmic assistant at Carolina Eyecare, you'll receive hands-on training to become a valuable member of our team. You'll work alongside experienced ophthalmologists and optometrists, assisting with patient care and gaining valuable skills.
Essential Job Functions
- Help care for patients by taking histories, performing various procedures and tests, and preparing them for appointments.
- Assist and provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Conduct tonometry tests to measure intraocular pressure.
- Measure visual acuity.
- Take and document patients' medical histories.
- Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
- Conduct visual field tests to measure field of vision.
- Instruct patients in the care and use of contact lenses.

Education and Experience
- Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus.
- Previous experience within the medical field preferred.
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to train the right person, experience in optometry or ophthalmology a plus.
Position Type
This is a full-time position with the home office located in [CITY, STATE]. Travel to other locations may be required.
