Centre Café Associate - Afternoon Shift

About the role

The Centre Café is a public-facing café and a central gathering space within the Christian Family Centre. This position will be working the afternoon shift, 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and fulfill all food and beverage orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Restock café supplies and properly store inventory.
• Fill and maintain the ice bucket as needed.
• Wash and sanitize café dishes using the dish machine.
• Complete assigned opening and closing procedures.
• Clean and maintain café tables, counters, equipment, floors, and work areas.
• Provide consistent, friendly, and efficient customer service.
• Interact appropriately and respectfully with guests of all ages.
• Display a Christ-honoring attitude in all interactions.
• Maintain a current Food Handler’s Card and comply with all Health Department guidelines.

Qualifications

• Christian Faith Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
• Support and adhere to the mission, values, and doctrinal beliefs of Lenawee Christian Ministries.
• Model a Christ-centered life marked by integrity, humility, and excellence.
• Experience Previous server experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler's Card preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; enjoys serving others.
• Hospitable, relational, and team-oriented.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Able to handle conflict in a respectful and God-honoring manner.
• Flexible availability, including the ability to work varying shifts.
• Able to obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s Card.
