Cafe Associate - Daytime Preferred

As a Ginna’s Cafe Associate, you will provide world-class customer service by delivering quality food and beverage products. This role represents Scheels as a friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable professional to all customers and fellow associates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food, drinks, and ingredients, including candy, baked goods, and fudge for customer sale
• Perform Barista, Café, and Fuzziwigs Candy Shop functions (deli line, food case, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, etc.) as assigned
• Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes, beverages, and prepared foods
• Meet deadlines for fudge production and customer requests
• Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, state, and local ordinances
• Ensure products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
• Follow Scheels Cashier Guidelines for Café registers
• Manage side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, including machines and equipment
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain an orderly and clean workspace, including dining areas
• Perform repetitive fudge production processes (stirring, pulling, cutting)
• Communicate effectively with customers and employees
• Read and interpret operating instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• High school education or up to one month of related experience/training (or equivalent combination)
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly
• Awareness of food allergens (dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, etc.)
