Centralized Scheduler - Radiology

Responsibilities

• Routinely schedules and registers patients for medical imaging tests/procedures.
• Coordinates with departments as necessary for scheduled services.
• Ensures accurate, complete, and thorough entry of patient demographics into the computer system, including insurance and authorizations if applicable.
• Notifies departments of services requiring equipment, instrumentation, and supplies from outside vendors for scheduled procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent required.
• Knowledge of multiple insurance authorization requirements.
• 1-2 years previous experience in a hospital environment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service experience required.
• Strong clerical and computer skills.
