Job Summary

The Receiving Technician position at Lexington Health requires an individual with strong customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively, and a track record of being detail-oriented and demonstrating critical thinking. Responsibilities include accurately receiving shipments, printing delivery tickets, scanning pack slips, working with delivery vendors, using the computer receiving system, staging received items, handling refrigerated/frozen items, and delivering these items to various areas of the organization. The position also involves maintaining records of all paperwork related to deliveries, receipts, and tracking.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 6 months working in a hospital's supply chain or materials management department
• Substitutable Education & Experience: 1 year directly related experience with inventory management (supply distribution, ordering, and inventory) or an associate's degree in a supply chain management field, or at least 1 year of experience demonstrating aptitude for supply chain management and successful performance in an LMC position (to be reviewed by department leadership)
• No required certifications/licenses

Essential Functions

• Able to use vendor packing slip information to reconcile receipt of product
• Accurately use supply chain software to enter data into the system to generate receiving documents
• Assists delivery drivers with unloading items and placing them on carts for processing
• Maintains all paperwork and scans appropriate documents in imaging software
• Answers the telephone for receiving questions, tracks receipt statuses, and researches receipts
• Uses FedEx and UPS web-based products to track deliveries
• Maintains an organized area that is clean and neat
• Handles refrigerated/frozen items in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery
• Delivers supplies utilizing flatbed carts and pallet jacks over varying distances and weights
• Secures signatures for all deliveries on receiving documentation
• Assists with inventorying, distributing, and ordering gas cylinders for operations
• Performs other duties as assigned
