Position Summary & Highlights
We are seeking a Phlebotomist/Central Processing Tech for our Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. The position offers part-time work, with shifts available during the day, evening, and weekends. Additional pay is provided for weekend shifts.
What you will do
- Collections blood samples
- Correctly identifies patients
- Transports specimens
- Performs all related clerical and computer functions
- Registers, orders, properly collects, labels, processes, and distributes specimens for laboratory testing
- Utilizes relevant computer programs and performs data entry
- Serves as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests
- Maintains quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories
- Reports results received
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred
