Position Summary & Highlights

We are seeking a Phlebotomist/Central Processing Tech for our Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. The position offers part-time work, with shifts available during the day, evening, and weekends. Additional pay is provided for weekend shifts.

What you will do

  • Collections blood samples
  • Correctly identifies patients
  • Transports specimens
  • Performs all related clerical and computer functions
  • Registers, orders, properly collects, labels, processes, and distributes specimens for laboratory testing
  • Utilizes relevant computer programs and performs data entry
  • Serves as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests
  • Maintains quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories
  • Reports results received

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
  • Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred
