Position Summary & Highlights
We are seeking a Phlebotomist/Central Processing Tech for our Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. This position offers part-time evening shifts, with additional pay for night shifts and weekends. The ideal candidate should have current phlebotomy experience and skills, as well as good communication and computer proficiency.
What You Will Do
- Collect blood samples and properly identify patients
- Transport specimens and perform related clerical and computer functions
- Utilize relevant computer programs for data entry
- Maintain communication with the laboratory for incoming requests and specimen quality
- Report results received from reference laboratories
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred
