Responsibilities

  • Use equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to retrieve and consolidate freight in the distribution center.
  • Retrieve warehouse orders and move them to the proper induction lanes so the cargo can go to the stores.
  • Locate warehouse locations to put away inbound freight so that it can be later retrieved to send to the stores.
  • Make a meaningful impact and drive positive change in the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.
  • Apply a positive and enthusiastic approach to customer service while maintaining professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
  • Participate in learning initiatives such as training programs, workshops, and seminars.
  • Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Use an RF scan gun to scan cases, master loads, and locations as needed.
  • Able to ensure that freight is going to the proper location.
  • Able to check and maintain proper documentation in the warehouse management system.
  • Required to accurately follow various inbound, outbound, and freight relocation operations processes.
  • Able to ensure that freight is stacked securely before moving the pallet.
  • Able to ensure quality and production KPI goals are met daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Able to follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of warehouse/manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Ability to count and perform basic math.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to operate aligned with the People Promise, which includes having a positive and passionate attitude for and commitment to Rural King initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to meticulously review and analyze information, identifying errors or inconsistencies to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully adapt to new environments, responsibilities, and tasks.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift 65 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all facilities.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices).
  • Must be able to see at close and far distances.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, carry, and push repetitively.
