Centerfield Elementary- Daycare Director (26-27)

Job Responsibilities

• Organize and implement after school child care activities such as arts and crafts, games, sports, academic support, music, science, tactile activities, multi-cultural activities, group discussions, quiet time, and modify activities as needed.
• Record keeping including billing, fee collection, receipt management, and expenditure tracking.
• Create and implement a balanced budget.
• Knowledge of Pro-Care software is preferred.
• Create and maintain individual folders for each staff member containing necessary certifications and records.
• Create and maintain folders for each enrolled student containing required documents.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, school personnel, and OCBE personnel through newsletters, handbooks, staff meetings, and conferences.
• Ensure the health, welfare, safety, and comfort of children in the program.
• Implement and follow Kentucky child care orientation and adhere to all medication and emergency procedures.
• Follow all policies and procedures of Kentucky Child Care Licensing and Oldham County Board of Education.
• Create and update a policies and procedures manual, personnel policies manual, and parent handbook.
• Daily coordination of the program with assistance from school administration.
• Encourage positive interactions among students, staff, and school personnel to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma
• Management skills in record keeping and staff organization
• CPR & First Aid certified
• Able to lift, push, or pull 40 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and reaching

Benefits

Compensation will be determined based on 260 days on the Board approved 108 salary schedule. This position requires an 8-hour workday.
